Anna Silk was the first daughter of Peter Silk (an academic) and Ilkay Silk (a playwright, actor director, producer, playwright as well as a teacher in St. Thomas University). Anna Silk's father was British and her mother was is a Turkish Cypriot English expat. Anna Silk remembers her mother watching working in rehearsals for plays.
