April Ross

April Ross, a beach volleyball star in the US She is one of a small category of females who have had medals won in more than one Olympics. In Tokyo over the next several days, she'll try to net her third medal alongside the first-time Olympian Alix Klineman. Ross is also hoping to win her very first Olympic gold. Perhaps it is her last opportunity, given that she is 39 years old. Her optimism is that she can achieve top honors. Ross through NBC Boston, said that If the team is performing very well, or even at all, it could be able to win gold. Also, I am going to rely on a bit of good luck. Ross was a Californian born in the city of Costa Mesa in 1982. She grew up in Costa Mesa with her father, mother and sister. In addition to playing in numerous sports, Ross was also a student at Newport Harbor High School. In addition to playing indoor volleyball, she also played basketball and jogged track in her pre-college days. But she clearly was superior to the rest in the latter sport. According to her bio, during high school she was a volleyball player as an outside setter (middle blocker) as well as a setter (outside blocker). In recognition of her work she was awarded an 1999 Gatorade Circle of Champions National Player of the Year. In 2000, she won an Orange County Athlete of the Year award in volleyball. Ross is currently working with Klineman from 2017, but Ross's beach game was well-established long before that. In fact, she's had the chance to win numerous tournaments, including one with a legendary volleyball player. Jennifer Kessy coached her from 2007 through 2013. Kessy was Ross's teammate at the World Championships of 2009. They were awarded a silver medal at the 2012 Olympic Games held in London. The legendary Misty Maytreanor team and Kerri Jennings won the gold. Ross Jennings was Walsh Jennings partner in fate when Maytreanor retired. They won the bronze medal in beach volleyball during the Rio Olympics 2016. Ross started her college career with the USC Trojans in high school. It was a long time before Ross made her debut on the beach and became a professional. It was a successful run for Ross at the school. In 2000, as a freshman she fought her way to Pac-10 as well as NCAA Freshman of the Year honors and was an All-American. She also helped the Trojans get to the Final Four. In her sophomore year, she suffered a tremendous personal setback, but she was able to make it back as an All-American. During her final two seasons with the Trojans in the program they won victories by winning consecutive national championships. Ross was an excellent volleyball player, winning the Honda Sports Award in 2003-04 as the most outstanding female volleyball player at the college level. Ross was a major in International Relations at USC. Margie Ross did not get to witness her daughter's climb to beach volleyball fame. Ross's mother died of breast carcinoma in 2001. Ross had just become sophomore at USC. She continues to keep her mother's memory close and dear. Margie is a beach lover as well as in everyday life, inspires her.
