Lucy-Liu

Lucy Liu was born in the US. Liu is an American actor, singer and voice-over artist. As an intelligent and attractive actress, Lucy Liu serves as a role model for several Asian actors in Hollywood who want to succeed. Her early success was boosted by her appearance on several popular television series. There, she portrayed the villainous Ling Woo. The actress took her initial fame into major screen roles in films such as Shanghai Noon and Charlie's Angels. She delivered a stunning performance in the role of Japanese criminal O-Ren Ishii (Quentin Tarantino) in Kill Bill Volume 1 by Quentin Tarantino. In the meanwhile, she also played the lead role in a few films that failed at the box office, such as Rise: Blood Hunter. In the following years, she started to voice prominent characters in animated films such like Kung Fu Panda and Tinker Bell. Mia Mason's small-screen role as a character in Cashmere Mafia did not produce anything of note. Southland is a critically-acclaimed series of police dramas that featured Liu in recurring roles, helped her reestablish her role as an actress. Liu chooses her roles with care to ensure she is not a victim of the highly competitive field. She's accepted her Chinese roots but she doesn't allow it to hinder her creative abilities.
