Taylor Swift has become a unique pop star: a superstar who crossed over completely from the world of country music to pop culture, becoming an iconic pop star that is set to last forever and conquering every corner of the globe. Swift has thrown off her country roots as if it were a second-skin revealing herself to be the most savvy pop singer/songwriter within her generation. She has the ability to tap into the current trend and make it her personal. The skills she displayed were apparent in some of the first songs she released, most notably the Neodue Tim McGraw. But on her second album Fearless that came out in 2008, she was able to discover her true identity and gain audiences across the globe. Fearless became hugely popular not only in the United States where the Top Ten singles Love Story as well as You Belong with Me helped it to record six platinum albums however, it also swept the world. It was a huge success across Canada, Australia as well as the U.K. Swift's second album Speak Now, released nearly two years following the debut, further consolidated the success of this album. The album propelled Swift to superstardom. Swift's popularity grew through her subsequent three albums: Red (2012), 1989 (2014) and Reputation (2017). Swift had now established herself in the genre she was a part of. Even though she had slowed her production with folklore, and Evermore released in 2020, she was in the forefront of pop music.
