April Ross

April Ross has won more than one medal at the Olympics. She is among only a handful of women beach volleyball athletes who be able to do so. In Tokyo during the next few days she will attempt to win her third gold medal alongside the first-time Olympian Alix Klineman. Ross's dream is to earn her first Olympic gold medal. At 39 she could have her final chance. But she's confident top awards are within reach. Ross said on NBC Boston: "If we try our best, and even if we just play well I believe we can be able to win gold." It's also going to be the result of luck. Ross was a Californian born in the city of Costa Mesa in 1982. Her family lived in the area with her father, mother and younger sister. Ross played in numerous activities while at Newport Harbor High School. As a pre-schooler, she competed in indoor volleyball along with basketball and running track. She clearly was the top in the game of indoor volleyball. In her time at high school, she was a middle blocker outside setter and hitter on the volleyball court as per her college bio. Gatorade Circle of Champions named her as the National Player in 1999. The skills she showed in volleyball also earned her an Orange County Athlete of the Years trophy in 2000. Ross and Klineman may be working on a project at the beginning of 2017, but Ross was an experienced volleyball player before they joined forces. She has had the chance to win numerous events, one of which was with an iconic volleyball player. Ross teamed up together with Jennifer Kessy from 2007-2013, and she also served as Klineman's personal trainer. Kessy's teammate Ross, who won the world title alongside Kessy in 2009, was also significant on the world stage. They were awarded a silver medal during the 2012 Olympic Games held in London. Misty May Treanor and Kerri Jennings, the team of legends that was the winners of the 2012 Olympics in London, beat each other to take home the gold. As fate would have it Ross became Walsh Jennings' new partner when May-Treanor retired. In 2016, the duo won bronze in the Rio Olympics for beach volleyball. Ross competed for USC Trojans during her college days, years before becoming a professional. Ross's time in the Trojans was amazing. The year 2000 was her freshman year. was when she won the Pac-10 and NCAA Freshman's of the award and become an All-American. The Trojans also reached the Final Four. Her heart was broken through a tragedy in her life during her sophomore years, yet she managed to become an All-American once more. The last two years as a member of the Trojans' program they won victory by winning the national title in consecutive years. In 2003-2004, Ross was named the best collegiate female volleyball player in the US through The Honda Sports Award. Ross was a major in International Relations at USC. Ross had just become a second-year student at USC. In the aftermath, Ross is still close to her deceased parent. Also, Margie remains a source of encouragement for her on the beaches and throughout the world of.
